OVERVIEW

Expanding the tournament Scrabble community by reducing barriers to participation is an important priority for us. To encourage newcomers to give tournament Scrabble and the Collins lexicon a try, we offer discounts off the entry fee for each player’s first three CoCo tournaments, as detailed below:

• 75% off your first CoCo tournament

• 50% off your second CoCo tournament

• 25% off your third CoCo tournament

To receive these Newcomer benefits, sign up using the form below. We’ll review your player record, and if you’re eligible, we’ll send you a discount code for your next tournament, which you can use at checkout when signing up for the tournament. Discount codes expire six months after issuance, so use them while you can!

Make sure you wait to register for your next tournament until after you receive your newcomer discount code! To ensure fair treatment of all players and to preserve the sanity of our hard-working volunteers, we do not retroactively honor newcomer discounts or refund the difference after a player has already registered for a tournament. We appreciate your understanding and support in ensuring our ability to continue offering this discounts program.

The funds to support these discounts come from the CoCo’s general nonprofit budget, which means that each individual tournament’s prize pool remains fully funded. The many people who have donated to the CoCo make these efforts to grow our community possible. This incentive program is subject to availability of funds. We continuously consider how we can improve and optimize all of our programs. We may revise, expand, or discontinue this program at any time as needs change.
